Former Gymnastics Trainer Arrested In Connection With Larry Nassar Sexual Assaults

Debra Van Horn who is a 63-year-old gymnastics trainer has been arrested and charged with being party to the sexual assault of a child.

Van Horn, who is a former USA Gymnastics trainer, was arrested by Homeland Security as she got off of a plane that was coming in from China. According to her attorney, the charges that have been filed against her are completely false and that she returned to the company in order to clear her name.

The charges against her are related to incidents that took place at the Karolyi gymnastics ranch in Texas where Larry Nassar, who is now serving 175 years in prison for sexual assault that impacted dozens of children, treated US Gymnastics team members. According to one of the victims, Van Horn was present in the room on numerous occasions while the abuse occurred.

This is the first arrest aside from Nassar in connection with the more than 20 years of abuse.
